Re-splitting is also permitted. Doubling down can be done on any two cards, and the option of Doubling Down After Split (DDAS) is also a part of this game, and that mirrors much of what goes on in Vegas Strip casinos as well.
The dealer will check the hole card if the upcard is either an Ace or a ten-value card. You can take an insurance bet after that, and if you win, you will be paid at 2-to-1 odds. However, be advised that insurance can only be taken if the dealer's upcard is an Ace. The rule on "pushes" is rather straight-forward, meaning that if you get a tie with the dealer, all money is returned.
If players get eleven cards in your hand without going over the total of 21, you don't automatically win, but your hand is at an end; the "stand" option is immediately exercised, and the dealer plays out the rest of the hand.
