With the amount of competition in the online gaming universe, there is always a demand for new and different ways to play all the casino games, and blackjack is no exception. In response to this, RealTime Gaming (RTG), one of the world's leading designers of online casino software, has put together a version of blackjack called "Perfect Pairs," which features a twist that can make your game of blackjack all the more memorable.
Perfect Pairs consists of six decks of 52 cards each, and the game proceeds much like any other blackjack game would - the player goes about trying to beat the dealer in whatever way is appropriate; whether it is to get closer to the total of 21 than the dealer, or to stay under the total of 21 while the dealer busts.
There is a side bet to be made before playing each hand. This is called a "Perfect Pairs bet," and is optional for the player. You do not have to place this bet to engage on the game, although you certainly have to have it on the table if you intend to pick up on any of the bonuses.
As you might imagine, there is a tie-in with pairs in this game, and here you can get paid at a bonus rate for certain kinds of pairs. The real objective of the game is to get a pair from the first two cards you are dealt. If that happens, you can get paid regardless of the kind of hand the dealer gets.
The pairs can be either a "Mixed Pair," a "Colored Pair" or a "Perfect Pair." A Mixed Pair is one that has a red suited card and a black suited card. That's simple enough. The Colored Pair is one where the pair might have different suits, but they are of the same color. Foe example, if you have the six of hearts and the six of diamonds. The Perfect Pair is one where you essentially have two cards that are the same. For example, you are dealt the seven of spades and another seven of spades (possible because you are using multiple decks).
Yes, you get paid out extra for any of these pairs, provided that you have that side bet out there. You get 5-to-1 odds for a Mixed Pair, 12-to-1 for a Colored Pair, and 25-to-1 for a Perfect Pair. You are certainly seeking those bonus payouts, because that is the reason you're playing the game, so that is the reason it makes sense to put up the side bet.
On some of the versions of the game you can play two hands, and RTG obviously makes this very easy to do. The process of betting is simple - just click the chip you want to put into your betting space, wherever that space is, and click the space. The one thing you notice about RTG's software is that not only is it very strong graphically, but it also facilitates very easy game play. This is not a game that is going to crash on you.
As always, you have the opportunity to change the speed of the game if you like, and you can also turn the game sounds on and off at your whim. This is done through the "Options" button at the bottom of the interface.
