Craps Rules

By: admin, Wednesday April 21st 2010

Craps is a game that’s extreme popular at online casinos in part because it’s an extremely easy game to learn and to play, with little real strategy involved particularly playing online. At brick and mortar casinos this game is very exciting, with it frequently drawing a large number of spectators who want to get in on the excitement. While the same thing doesn’t quite carry over in online casinos, players still have that feeling that the game is a thrilling one.

There are more rules when playing craps at a brick and mortar casino than there are online, simply because there are certain guidelines surrounding how to physically handle the dice and other aspects of the game. For example, when playing at an actual craps table that is not virtual, players can only use one hand to throw the dice and once they’re thrown they must hit the walls on the opposite side of the table. Of course, with an online craps game this occurs automatically with the digital dice. In a brick and mortar game, the dice are also inspected before they’re actually put back into play each and every time.

In craps, players can either bet on the dice or bet on the thrower. Bets are placed before the dice are thrown using the betting area on the table that give players a substantial number of different options. Each new game starts with the Come Out Roll and that starts every time the player before didn’t have a winning role of at least 7. Depending upon the format of an online craps game, the game follows a similar format. In multiplayer games, players play through just like they would at a brick and mortar casino, the only real difference being that they don’t physically handle the dice. There are also games where players are simply playing against the computer so there are fewer players to bet upon.

The different types of bets that can be placed in craps are based on table division and winning depends upon where the dice land.
With craps games at online casinos there are few rules that apply since the rules of the game surround the way the dice are thrown and that’s an element that doesn’t even come into play with computer software where the way the dice land are based on a random generator built into the software. However, playing online doesn’t mean players shouldn’t have an understanding of the rules, they can play the free casino games or craps for real money online and learn the bets and other strategies of the game before playing at a brick and mortar casino where those specific rules apply.

Craps is a fun and exciting game, it’s all about luck and understanding the best bets to make, so it’s a game that online casino players can’t miss for a little bit of excitement and exposure to a game that just has the excitement of Las Vegas!
