Craps is an attractive casino game offering that is produced by Playtech, one of the leading developers of online casino gaming software worldwide. It features clear, life-like graphics, a very clean game layout, and series of effects that are dedicated to greatly enhancing the overall atmosphere of playing the great game of craps.

As you know, craps is a game that is fast-paced, yet can develop slowly, as you place your bets and wait for results that are determined over time. You have a great view of the table in the PlayTech version, and when you roll the dice, you hear those babies crackling down the felt. Then the dealer lets you know exactly what is going on, including telling you when the dice are "coming out." By the way, those dice are nice and big and don't take a pair of glasses to see.

The table minimum on this game is $1 and the maximum is $300, so whether you are a low-roller or a high-roller, you are in it and can win it.

The interface is pretty crisp and convenient. Your chip denomination selection is right there in front of you, and you'll see that you've got increments of .01, .10, $1, $5, $10, $25 and $100 to choose from. All you have to do is click on the chip you want and click on the part of the table where you want to place that bet. You can click additional times to get multiples of that denomination on the table. Clicking one button can clear all of your bets off the table.

One of the other good things about the game is that you simply mouse over a spot on the table and the software tells you what kind of bet it is. For example, you mouse over the four (4) and it says "Buy Bet 4" or the pair of threes that pays 10 for 1, the six (6) and five (5) and it says "Horn 11" or the pair of threes, where it will say "Hardway 6." So that is rather informative from the terminology standpoint. There's nothing wrong with getting a little education, particularly if you are a relative novice at this game.

It doesn't hurt to have a couple of options either. Download and flash version of this game are available (and of course, you'll have to check with the individual casino to see if they offer the "instant play" version) and you can play it in free mode in the process of warming up to play for real money.

You are able to have a log that shows you the bets you have made and the results of those bets, which appears in a ticker above the table. When you are playing a game like craps, where you are potentially spreading money all over the layout, you know that helps to keep you somewhat organized.

You'll get 3-1 odds on the pass, don't pass, come and don't come bets. The "any craps" proposition pays 7-1. You can make "buy" or "lay" bets with a 5% commission going to the house.
