ARJEL is the gambling regulator for online casinos in France. It has just issues the first set of licenses just prior to the beginning of the Football World Cup earlier this month. Many big names had not been issued their license yet, so ARJEL has clarified that all remaining applications that have been filed are now being processed. There have been a lot of major changes happening to the world of online casino gaming both in the US and internationally. It looks like there is more news coming out of France, according to the President of regulator ARJEL at a Monaco conference. They are hoping to bring more offshore activity to their online casinos, as they’re already successfully creating a lot of offshore business. Harrah’s is in the process of seeking some approval from the state of Nevada in regards to their business partner. Under the state’s Foreign Gaming Act, Harrah's has filed an application on behalf of Dragonfish, a division of 888 Holdings.
