Caribbean Stud Poker, in its progressive form, is poker that has the potential of paying off with a very big progressive jackpot. It's been developed by the people at Real Time Gaming (RTG), one of the leading producers of online casino software. This game can move at a fast pace, promoting lots of volume and lots of action.
In case you're not that familiar with it, Caribbean Stud Poker, is kind of like a game of Five-Card Stud, and there are some aspects that resemble a game of blackjack. We're not saying that out of school. The layout looks like one you'd observe on a blackjack table. Remember, you are playing against the house, and nothing matters except what you do against the house, and in that way it is also like blackjack. The game is dealt out of a shoe, and there's a discard rack, like you'd see used by a dealer at a blackjack table. The difference, of course, is that the hand in Caribbean Stud consists not of two cards but five, both on your part and that of the dealer. It's just that four of his cards are unknown to you until you have to bet. Your objective is to have a higher-ranked hand than the dealer has, and if you achieve that, you will get paid accordingly.
What happens when you start the Caribbean Stud game is that you throw out an ante into the betting circle as your initial wager and then click "Deal" to get the ball rolling. You get the hand, see the dealer's "up-card," and then get to make the decision as to whether you're going to bet or fold. When you choose the "Bet" option, chips that amount to double the ante go into the game. Then the dealer reveals the remainder of his cards and the winner is determined. If you decide on the "Fold" option, the hand is over and you will lose your bet. To move with more rapidity, you can click "Rebet" and the same bet you put out there on the previous hand goes back into the game for the next round.

Royal Flush - 100-to-1
Straight Flush - 50-to-1
Four of a Kind - 20-to-1
Full House - 7-to-1
Flush - 5-to-1
Straight - 4-to-1
Three of a Kind - 3-to-1
Two Pair - 2-to-1
One Pair - Even Money
High Card - Even Money
You can win right away if the dealer does not turn up a pair or an Ace-King combination at the very least. If there's a tie, you'll win if you have the high card.
Of course, it is the progressive part of Caribbean Stud that gives it a different, and exciting, angle. Before each round of play begins, you'll see a slot to the right that takes a coin. If you click it, before the deal starts, a dollar will go into the slot, which is what makes you eligible for the progressive payout.
These are the hands, and the progressive payouts that correspond to them:
Royal Flush - 100%
Straight Flush - 10%
Four of a Kind - $500
Full House - $100
Flush - $75
So if you get a Straight Flush, you win 10% the progressive jackpot, which is tracked in plain sight on the game interface by way of a counter.
In the Caribbean Stud progressive game, you can bet as little as a dollar on a hand or as high as $250, which means that it has room for everybody, whether you're a small cash player or a whale. You have all the sound controls right at your fingertips. You have the option of shutting them off, or turning them down - whatever you want to do.
