Bonus Blackjack Gold is a welcome addition to the collection of games that is referred to as the "Gold Series," among the most popular blackjack games in all of online casino gaming. Bonus Blackjack Gold, and the Gold Series in its entirety, was designed and developed by Microgaming, one of the most respected manufacturers of online casino software in the world.
Bonus Blackjack Gold is played with two decks; in other words, it is a double-deck game. A lot of aspects about this game are the same as that which you can find in many online blackjack games, as well as land-based games. Some rules are different than what you might be used to. For example, the dealer hits soft 17 in this game (generally, the dealer would stand on all 17's).
You can re-split to the point where you have four hands at once (except in the case of Aces) and can double down after splitting (referred to by some experts as DDAS). A two-card "natural" pays 3-to-2, while Insurance bets pay 2-to-1 when they win.
There is another twist here, involving "bonus bets" that make you eligible for bonus payouts which can be considerable. For example, if you are dealt a Jack and an Ace of spades you will be paid at a rate of 50-to-1; a "suited" Jack and Ace (of the same suit) pays 25-to-1, and any two suited cards at all will pay 5-to-2. Needless to say, none of this is found in the "standard" blackjack game.
It would be very hard to find games with better, more vivid graphics that those that are produced by Microgaming, and this one is no exception. This is one game where you don't have to squint your eyes to get a look at the cards, that's for sure. Want the rules? Mouse over the sign to the left of the chip tray and you'll be apprised. Click a chip and click a square and you're ready for some action!
What is unique about Microgaming, among other designers of online casino software, is that they appear to do a better job of putting themselves in the shoes of the customer. That manifests itself in the fact that the game is so user-friendly. By "user-friendly" we mean that if you have any questions about the game - and we mean ANY - they will most likely be answered in a "Help" file that is among the most comprehensive you'll ever find.
By "user-friendly" we mean that if you want to "customize" your experience, you can do it to the hilt. You can play as fast as you want (there are four grades of speed - Slow, Medium, Fast and Fastest) and you can have as much sound as you want - or don't want, as it were - in the game. You can go to the full screen or keep it smaller. And through "Expert Mode," you can engage in AutoPlay, which allows you to play the game automatically, not only with bets but also a pre-arranged strategy that is built into the software and which you customize yourself!
It doesn't get any better, or any easier!
